A Subject you enjoy studying this semester

Enjoy?....The truth is that this semester didn't have the time to enjoy the subjects as I did last year with Anatomy.

But if I have to talk about one.....I have to talk about "Simulations for the Professional Practice".

At first I was afraid because everyone talked about how difficult it's, about how expensive it's and that you couldn't do everything on time, and more. And all this is true! Difficult, because the tests are for expound on and not alternatives as in other subjects. Expensive? Yes, and a lot, I had to do magic with the money. And fulfill to calendar? Sadly it's true, in my case I'm late.

Now, are you asking why you're talking badly about a subject you're supposed to enjoy?

First I must say that I love challenges and the second, as I didn't like anything that I will do all my life!

Well, despite the stress.....I love the practice days more that the class days.

In this subject we have seen several contents: cavitary preparations, restorations, adhesion, dental impressions, amalgam, etc.

We practice all the knowledge of the classes and even last year. We performs the procedures in false teeth, so we can make mistakes. I feel proud when I have such a beautiful restoration.

In addition, my teachers explained me very well and I learned a lot with them, they give me tips on how to do it and what not to do that, the quality of teachers in the University is excellent!

And how I like it so much....this continues next semester!

Why I choose Odontology? Well.....it really was a recommendation from my family because I wanted Medicine.  The day of the results, I was very sad because I left my job to fulfill a dream. Then, my sister told me: "and if you study Odontology?, you like the tools and those things". The first semester I found out how to change internally, I saw what documents I needed and everything. I got good grades to have priority. But, I fell in love with this career because I had a wrong perspective. I learned that we not only see "the mouth" but a system that can affect the health in general. I hope to continue in this, I love it and I will finish it because i have delivered and lost a lot for this career.  Thanks!

Who I am??? I'm Gisell Rivera and I'm a Odontology student. Initially, I wanted to study Medicine but as time went on I fell in love with Odontology. I love study in Universidad de Chile University. I wa born in Arica, Chile.
