End of the semester Hello!! Today, I’m goint to do my last blog. (Well actually so last I do not think it is ...... comes English IV)   At first, I must to say that this is my first blog of the life, although I’m of the same generation. I have never found this type of activities interesting, until this semester. But I must to say that it was very entertaining and I learned English a little more….I don’t know if for next level. My favorite TV Show Hello! I’m a woman who loves tv! And if I have to talk about my favorite show, it's The Ellen DeGeneres Show. It’s a miscellaneous program that was broadcast for the first time on September 8, 2003, and is presented by actress and comedian Ellen DeGeneres. It’s distributed by Warner Bros Television. The program has won 4 Daytime Emmy awards and 15 Emmy awards during all his seasons. It takes 15 seasons and more than 2000 episodes. The program combines interviews with celebrities and people from the audience, comedy monologues, musical numbers and moving stories. I love seeing Ellen, because she dances and sings along with the public without fear of ridicule, she’s a modest, humanitarian, she enjoys the closeness and affection of the people. A Subject you enjoy studying this semester Hello! Enjoy?....The truth is that this semester didn't have the time to enjoy the subjects as I did last year with Anatomy. But if I have to talk about one.....I have to talk about "Simulations for the Professional Practice". At first I was afraid because everyone talked about how difficult it's, about how expensive it's and that you couldn't do everything on time, and more. And all this is true! Pub Med PubMed is the site that I have most used these 2 years studying Odontology.... It's a search engine for access to the Medline database. It was developed by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) of the US National Library of Medicine (NLM). It's launch in January 1996 as an experimental database but it's in June 1997 when free and public access to PubMed MEDLINE appeared. It includes more than 28 million citations of biomedical literature, biological science magazines and online books. For its quality and the possibility of free access received millions of visits per year. Multiple databases can be accessed in the area of ​​life sciences, particularly in the fields of genetics and pharmacology. My favorite movie is...... Hi everyone! Today I will tell you about one of my favorite movies, called "The Imitation Game". It's a drama that narrates the career of Alan Turing and his team, in their attempt to break the encryption of the Enigma machine of the nazi Germany of Second World War. The team consisted of academics, mathematicians, linguists, chess champions and intelligence officers supported by Winston Churchill. In this film you can see key moments of Turing's life: his teenage years, his work during the war and his post-war tragedy after admiting his homosexuality. It was released on 2014 at Telluride Film Festival where it won the "Audience Award for Best Film" and is based on the book "Alan Turing: The Enigma" by Andrew Hodges. What is your favorite piece of technology? What a difficult question!!! I like many things.....but above all I thought about the technology that is in the homes, like microwaves, kitchen, refrigerator, washing machine; because they facilitate the day to day. I also thought about the epilator, because it's very important for every woman. It's the best invention!! However, TV is still my favorite. On TV I can see and learn everything and if add the international signal much better. I can enjoy movies, series, documentals, history and sports. I can enjoy my favorite sports, baseball and football. My favorite teams are Cardinals and the Patriots. I love watching trhe finals, they are very exciting!. I don't miss a Super Bowl. Why I choose Odontology? Well.....it really was a recommendation from my family because I wanted Medicine.  The day of the results, I was very sad because I left my job to fulfill a dream. Then, my sister told me: "and if you study Odontology?, you like the tools and those things". The first semester I found out how to change internally, I saw what documents I needed and everything. I got good grades to have priority. But, I fell in love with this career because I had a wrong perspective. I learned that we not only see "the mouth" but a system that can affect the health in general. I hope to continue in this, I love it and I will finish it because i have delivered and lost a lot for this career.  Thanks!

Who I am??? I'm Gisell Rivera and I'm a Odontology student. Initially, I wanted to study Medicine but as time went on I fell in love with Odontology. I love study in Universidad de Chile University. I wa born in Arica, Chile. I`m 34 years old.....and when my classmates say my age, the first question they asked was: "What motivated you to study?"  I still think about the answer.....life`s thing!!! I will tell you that I'm a graduate of Engineering in Business Administration.  I worked for 11 years in a company.  I like to enjoy every moment....I love travel, I know from Arica to Coyhaique. My favorite place of Chile is Biological Reserve Huilo Huilo.  The best moment of day is when I arrive at my house and my dog is waiting for me to play.
